2004 — Week 40

The weather remained unsettled with cold and windy conditions. In the middle of the week we got the first snow at the Lodge this year, fortunately this happened when our last guests left. We are looking back to an excellent season and it seems that it was the year of the Big Laketrout with many Trophies caught. All the Salmon runs were very strong and we also had excellent fishing for Grayling and Pike throughout the whole season. We truly had a fantastic summer in weather terms with record temperatures above 30° and very calm conditions for almost two months. Unfortunately it was a bad year for forest fires as over 2 Mio. Hectares of forest were destroyed, but that is nature. We would like to thank all the customers for staying with us and we surely had a great time with you. Many thanks to our whole staff too for all their efforts during this long and busy season! We wish you all a good winter, take care and hopefully see you next year.
