2005 — Week 20
Finally spring has arrived in the Yukon and we experienced
the last three weeks temperatures way above average. During the last few
weeks we didn't have any rain at all and mainly very calm conditions.
The leaves on the trees are coming out extremely early and the ice on
Dezadeash lake was gone by May 16th, which is also a lot earlier than
usual.
Of course we could not resist to go out one day and do some fishing, the lake trout were very active and we have caught many. We are very busy organising everything for the coming season. We are building an new walkway around the Lodge which will give a much nicer overall impression. We are looking very much forward to another successful season and can't wait to welcome our first guests.
