2005 — Week 29
The week started with heavy rain on the first day. On the
two consecutive days we experienced little rain in the morning and then
sunshine in the afternoon. We had nice and sunny conditions for the rest
of the week. Wind wise it was a very calm week, we only had stronger winds
on the last day.
Highlight of the week was a Trophy lake trout of 100cm on the fly. Ruud's persistence to stick to the fly rod paid out and he is the first guest ever in the history of Dalton Trail Lodge to catch a lake trout over 100cm with a fly - congratulations Ruud and welcome to our Trophy Club! Just one day later Jörg Huschle caught a big Grayling of 48cm and joined our exclusive Trophy Club as well - actually the first Trophy Grayling this season so far! One day later Flurin Andrist caught another Trophy Grayling and is also a proud Club Member. The King Salmon are now entering our rivers in good numbers and a few big ones were caught.
Fishing for the Sockeye Salmon was also very good, especially fly out trips to Alaska, where lots of fresh Fish were caught. All in all a very eventful and unforgettable week.
