2005 — Week 37
We had the same weather pattern as last week: one beautiful
day with no wind at all and for the other days we experienced cloudier
and windier conditions. The leaves have all turned into the spectacular
autumn colors but soon they will be gone as we have had quite a few frosty
nights. All our fly-out trips to the coast of Alaska were very successful
with lots of nice big Silvers. Our nearby Salmon river in Alaska came
back into good shape and the Sockeye Salmon are still running in large
numbers and big sizes.
Needless to say our guests had great days and no problem catching their limit. They can't wait to have the filets smoked and to enjoy this great delicacy. We also did quite a few successful hunting trips for Grouse and Ptarmigan which are excellent to eat too. Pike fishing was very good and large numbers were caught. Our guests had fantastic days at our local rivers where they caught lots of Laketrout, Grayling and Rainbow Trout. All in all a very good fishing and hunting week.
