2006 — Week 20
We are pleased to post our first news report this year, a clear sign that a new season is beginning. Our winter was milder than usual and we had very little snow. Spring is late with temperatures below average. We have not had temperatures in the doube digit numbers during the previous weeks, this has changed over the last six days though. As per today our lakes are still covered with ice but one can see some openings and that means we can go out fishing soon. Due to the small amount of snow, which usually serves as a type of insulation, the ice could build up a lot faster. The thickness was at some spots around 1.5 meters! Right now we are very busy organizing the forthcoming season, there is always lots to do. We are also in the final finishing stage of building a new cabin and it is looking just fantastic. We will have 4 large double-bedrooms with a beautiful lake view. We are looking forward to welcoming our first guests to another great season.! p>
