2006 — Week 24
It was the week of the Trophies. Our guests caught not less than 5 Trophies during their stay with us! Fishing for Laketrout remained excellent everywhere and many fish were caught. We are very pleased to report the first two Trophy-Laketrout this year: Ueli Wiedenbeck and Hans-Ruedi Hebeisen both caught Namaycush over 100cm and are now proud members of our exclusive Trophy Club. Congratulations to them! Pike fishing was extremely good as they are very aggressive after spawning. Our guests had a lot of fun to catch them with surface lures as these predators hit the lures very hard. Ingolf and Sascha Winter both had a Trophy-Pike over 100cm – we lost count how many Trophies they have already caught during their many stays with us! We also did a successful fly-out trip to Alaska for King- and Sockeye Salmon. The Kings are very late this year and there are not many fish in the rivers yet. We hooked three but unfortunately lost them all. The Sockeyes are trickling in and two of our guests had some good action with a total of 14 fresh Sockeyes. The first half of the week was sunny and calm. Towards the end of the week we experienced some rain and stronger winds. All in all a great week with lots of big fish!Statistics
