2006 — Week 27
Another great week with no less than four Trophies caught! André Suter had a fantastic day on one of our remote lakes when he caught a Laketrout of 100cm and a Grayling of 49cm. He is the first guest ever to land Trophies in two different species the same day. His friend Andreas Arendt also caught a Trophy that day, his beautiful Grayling measured 48cm. Martina Kaderova caught a Trophy Pike of 107cm and this big Pike was her first fish in her life! They all are now proud members of our Trophy Club – congratulations to them and well done! Fishing for Laketrout was very good and there were many fish in the range of 70-90cm caught. Flies seemed to work best but some were caught while trolling or casting as well. Grayling and Rainbows were very active and eagerly took dry flies. Pike fishing was very productive and our guides had sore hands from releasing all the fish. Although we are experiencing a late run, the first Kings were caught in our main river. So far we could not fish our nearby river in Alaska for the Sockeye Salmon. The fish are very late and only a few have entered the rivers. Everybody is expecting an excellent run of Sockeyes this year so it is only a question of time until we will see great action. The weather was beautiful with a lot of sunny days and calm conditions. Only on the last day of the week it rained hard but this was good for our nature.Statistics
