2006 — Week 34
Overall we had a very good fishing week. All though no trophies were caught we had some really nice fish which were close to the trophy mark. Fishing was great for Grayling and Rainbow Trout. As we mainly had fly fishermen staying with us, they were very pleased to see a lot of dry fly action. A good number of Grayling up to 46cm and Rainbow Trout up to 50cm were caught. Pike fishing was good too with fish up to 90cm. Some of our guests caught their first Pike on a fly rod and were very excited about the aggressive takes. The first Laketrout have moved into our rivers and we will have steady action from now on fishing for them. Fishing for Laketrout on the Lakes was productive too with smaller streamers, and fish up to 86cm were caught. Due to rain and therefore high water levels we could only fish our nearby river in Alaska for two days. Quite a few Sockeyes and plenty of Pinks were caught. We will soon test fish our river at the coast of Alaska for Silver Salmon and we are confident that the first fly-out trips can be made in a few days. The weather was pretty much the same as the previous weeks with mainly cloudy and windy conditions. We only had one day of calm weather and are hoping now for a nice Indian Summer.Statistics
