2006 — Week 39
Great fishing for big Laketrout continued during our last week of the season. Ken Foxcroft had an unforgettable trip to one of our remote Lakes when he caught no less than five Laketrout over 100cm in a single day! He equalized the Lodge record with his biggest fish of 115cm. Congratulations Ken and welcome to our Trophy Club! Other trips to the same Lake were very successful too with a lot of fish in the range of 70-97cm. Fishing for Grayling, Rainbow Trout and Laketrout in our rivers was still very productive and our guests enjoyed catching them on light tackle. Pike fishing was good on one remote Lake. Our nearby Salmon River in Alaska was only fishable on the first two days of the week and all our guests caught their limit of Sockeyes and Cohos. Heavy rain and therefore high water levels made it impossible to return. Our last fly-out trip for the Silver Salmon to the coast of Alaska was a success, although there were not as many Salmon in the River as usual for this time of the year. We had beautiful weather on the first two days. The rest of the week was cloudy with windy conditions.Trix, Hardy, Thomas
