2007 — Week 21
We had a great season opening, our first guests caught lots of Laketrout up to 20 lbs. Most of the ice melted off just in time for the first fishing trip. We had a lot of difficulties launching the boats. After trying different spots the only way was to drive about 30 meters out on the ice and to put the boats into the water just at the edge of the ice. It was quite an experience and our guests for sure never saw anything like this before. But it was worth it as we were rewarded with world-class fishing for Laketrout! Generally all the water levels are very low right now and therefore we couldn’t fish some of the rivers with guests yet. We are confident that this will change soon as the snow is about to melt off the higher mountains. Weather conditions were mostly sunny with some clouds. Towards the weekend the winds were picking up which was good to get rid of the rest of the ice. Even though we did not have access to all of our lakes we experienced fantastic fishing.
