2007 — Week 25
We are very pleased to report more trophy fish during this week. Frank Drassler caught a big Pike of 102cm on one of our remote lakes. Andrea Annicciarico was successful as well as he landed a beautiful Laketrout of 102cm. Both said that these trophies were the hardest fighting fish they have ever caught. It is a pleasure to welcome these two gentlemen to our exclusive Trophy Club. Congratulations to them and well done! Fishing for Laketrout was very good with plenty of large fish up to 95cm and quite a few were caught on flies. Playing a 20 pound Laketrout on a fly rod is for sure a real test for your tackle. Pike fishing continued to be excellent on all our lakes. Grayling and Rainbow Trout were eager to take dry flies and our guests caught lots of them. Small spinners or lures on light tackle worked great too. We were lucky to see a lot of Bears, Bisons, Moose and Eagles during this week. Another great experience here at Dalton Trail Lodge. On the first four days we had mainly calm conditions with local thunderstorms during the afternoons. It is quite unusual to see this many thunderstorms in our area. Fortunately the ground was wet so we didn’t have to worry all too much about lightening triggering a forest fire. The rest of the week was mainly sunny but the wind started to pick up.Statistics
