2007 — Week 34
The first time in the history of Dalton Trail Lodge the Grand Slam Champion title was awarded. Erwin Zimmermann managed to catch the third trophy fish during his stay and therefore deserves this special honour. He caught a Grayling of 51cm, a Lake Trout of 101cm and a Pike of exactly 100cm. Good job Erwin and congratulations! Jacob Bollag almost became the second Grand Slam Champion, he missed his third trophy (Lake Trout) by just 5cm! More trophies were caught during this week: Chris Risch landed a Grayling of 48cm as well as a Pike of 101cm. He is from now on another proud member of our exclusive Trophy Club. Congratulations to all these great fishermen and well done! Like the previous weeks Grayling fishing was world class. Fishing for Pike was a little bit spotty, they were not as aggressive as usual. Lake Trout fishing was generally good with fish up to 95cm. Some Lakers have started to move into our rivers and we should see good action very soon. All the trips for the Sockeye Salmon to our nearby river in Alaska were successful as our guests limited out without a problem. The week started with beautiful weather. Then some low pressure systems moved in. We mainly had a mix of sun and cloud. Unfortunately it was quite a windy week, but who really cares when the fishing is that great.Statistics
