2007 — Week 36
In the first part of the week we enjoyed a couple of really nice Indian Summer days. Then a big low pressure system over the Gulf of Alaska influenced our weather for the rest of the week and we had very windy conditions with some rain. We managed to fly out one group of fishermen to target Silver Salmon before the big storm moved in. They did reasonably well, limited out the first day but encountered tougher conditions the second day. Our other salmon river was in excellent shape all week and our guests had no problem to catch their limit of Sockeye Salmon. The fish are in beautiful shape and over average in size. Lake Trout fishing in the bigger lakes is getting hot again, Andy and Roland caught lots of big Lake Trout up to 98 cm. Michael Winter caught a trophy Lake Trout of 104 cm. Well done and welcome to the Trophy Club! Small game hunting was good in the first part of the week with lots of Ptarmigan and Grouse taken. River fishing has been excellent all week. Big numbers of White Fish have entered our rivers for spawning and predatory Rainbow Trout, Arctic Grayling and Lake Trout are following them, offering our guests world class river fishing. Guillaume Alan from France caught a beautiful Arctic Grayling, measuring 49 cm. Welcome to the Trophy Club, good job Guillaume!Statistics
