2007 — Week 37
We experienced another great fishing week. Josef Rieder caught a trophy Pike of 101cm and is from now on a proud member of our exclusive Trophy Club. Congratulations Josef and well done! More big Pike up to 98cm were caught too, missing the trophy mark by a tiny little bit. Fishing for Lake Trout was excellent in the rivers as well as the lakes. More and more Lake Trout are moving into the rivers and we should see excellent catches right to the end of our season. Grayling fishing was very good too with fish up to 47cm. Our guests enjoyed catching some really nice Rainbow Trout up to 52cm. It is unbelievable how these wild fish fight! Our nearby River in Alaska is in prime shape and our guests had no problem catching their limit of big fresh Sockeye Salmon. The first Cohos have showed up, we expect a decent run. Most of the fly-out trips to Alaska were very successful with lots of fresh Silver Salmon. Unfortunately we couldn’t do all the scheduled trips due to bad weather. Grouse and Ptarmigan hunting was excellent and our guests enjoyed eating this delicacy. We just bought a new big boat with a very roomy cabin. It will give us more flexibility for our trips on the bigger lakes and of course will be much more comfortable for our guests. The week started with a beautiful Indian Summer day. Unfortunately some low pressure systems moved in and for the rest of the week we experienced windy conditions and cloudy skies. Fishing wise it was a great week, just the weather could have been nicer.Statistics
