2009— Week 22
It is great to be back with the first News Report of the upcoming season. Our winter was tough with a lot of snow and very cold temperatures as low as –50° Celsius. We always say that if we have a hard winter we will get a nice summer – let’s hope this will be the case. At the beginning of the week there were still a few patches of snow around but they disappeared quickly with the warmer temperatures. The Lake started to open up on Tuesday but there was still some ice along the shoreline so launching a boat was not possible. Our first guests will arrive towards the end of the week, and they can expect world class fishing. We will have a slow start with not many guests which is really too bad because this would be prime time for fishing as all the fish are hungry and aggressive after the long winter. All in all our bookings are looking very promising and we have many weeks fully booked – despite the rougher economic climate. The last few weeks have been very busy getting everything ready, there is always lots to do. We are very excited to welcome our first guests – and of course to go out fishing!
