2009— Week 25
What a fantastic week with no less than 11 Trophies being caught! We
are very proud to welcome the following fishermen to our Trophy Club:
Leon Gervin (Laketrout of 101 cm and Pike of 100 cm), Scott Toschi (Pike
of 113 cm and 104 cm), Scott Gervin (Laketrout of 100 cm), Don Gervin
(Pike of 105 cm), Andre Suter (Lake Trout of 106 cm, Pike of 100 cm, 105
cm, 106 cm) and last but not least Martin Haas (Pike of 105 cm). Congratulations
to all of them and well done! Leon Gervin almost became a member of our
Grand Slam Club, our most exclusive Club with only two members yet. He
has caught a Lake Trout and Pike Trophy and “only” needed
a Trophy Grayling. On his last day of his stay he landed a big Grayling
of 47.5 cm, unfortunately only 0.5 cm too short! Andre Suter has also
caught a Trophy Lake Trout and several Trophy Pike and he is still staying
with us, so he still has the chance to fulfill the Grand Slam –
good luck to you Andre! Besides these Trophies our guests caught a lot
of other big Pike and Lake Trout up to 98 cm. Although the river levels
were extremely high the fishing for Grayling and Rainbow Trout was excellent
with some really healthy Rainbows up to 2 lbs. The week started with beautiful
weather and calm winds. During the rest of the week we had mainly cloudy
skies with stronger winds and one day with a lot of rain. This was good
for the forests and the fire danger is now low. It was truly an unbelievable
fishing week with many happy faces!
