2009— Week 35

We had a great week with no less than 3 Trophies being caught. Rick Carter caught a beautiful Trophy Grayling of 49 cm. Martin Merz caught a Trophy Pike of 106 cm and Martin Wyrsch a Trophy Pike of 105 cm. Congratulations to these fishermen and welcome to our Trophy Club! Grayling fishing was world class and our guests enjoyed catching many nice fish in the range of 40 to 47 cm. This is a really good time for Grayling right now as the water levels in the rivers are perfect for fly fishing. With colder temperatures levels will be dropping even more which will make the fishing even better. Fishing for Rainbow Trout was excellent too and some nice ones up to 50 cm were caught. We didn’t do all too much fishing for Lake Trout in the Lakes so there is not much to report there. However, the fishing for Lake Trout in the rivers was very good. More and more fish are moving into the rivers and soon the pools will be full of Whitefish, Lake Trout and Grayling. So far we didn’t do any fly out trips for the Silver Salmon. We are still waiting for reliable reports about the numbers of fish. We are at the beginning of the run so we don’t want to send any people down there unless the fishing is really good. The weather gave us a hard time, there was only one day with no wind and sunshine. For the rest of the week we had rain showers and mainly windy conditions. It got quite a bit colder and pretty soon we will see these fantastic autumn colours. Despite the tough conditions we had a great week!
