2010— Week 21
We are very excited to be back with the first news report of the new 2010 season. After a rather mild winter with not much snow we are now working hard to get everything running. There is always a lot of things to do to keep our infrastructure in top shape. We have built / replaced the porch at the Lodge and it looks a lot better now. Furthermore we bought a new ATV, a Polaris Ranger which can take up to 4 guests. This is great news for those clients who don’t want to ride an ATV themselves. We have improved some trails as this vehicle is wider than a regular ATV. The ride is very comfortable and our guests will certainly enjoy it. We will try to get access to a new Lake we haven’t fished yet. More about this in the next news reports… We had an incredible spring so far with unusually warm temperatures. Our Lake opened up on May 20th which is rather early. We don’t have any clients right now, which is really too bad since during the whole week temperatures were around 20° Celsius with no wind at all. The vegetation is also around 10 days ahead of usual, everything is already green! Of course we couldn’t resist on going out fishing for a few hours and like always after the ice is gone the fishing was world class. Our first guests will arrive next week, let’s hope that the weather will stay as great as it is now!
