2010— Week 22
Our first guests have arrived and experienced world class fishing. What an opening week with 5 Trophy Pike being caught! We would like to welcome the following new members to our Trophy Club: Christiane Wendt (108 cm), Adrian Stalder (108 cm), Luca Montelli (112 cm), Michele Prandi (109 cm), Luca Fumagalli (106 cm). Congratulations to all of you and well done! Besides the fantastic Pike fishing our guests enjoyed catching many nice Lake Trout up to 96 cm. Fishing for Lake Trout was excellent on all the Lakes we fished and most of them were caught while trolling. Grayling fishing was great too with a couple of fish close to the Trophy mark of 48 cm. It didn’t matter if our guests used spinning gear or a fly rod, the fish were really active. Fishing for Rainbow Trout was very good at the beginning of the week and then it slowed down a bit because the water levels were rising. We should see good action the next weeks, when the fish have moved and settled in their usual high water spots. We were able to access a new Lake where we have put a boat in. We fished it only for a few hours and caught many fish. As we experienced a very warm spring our forests became extremely dry and therefore a fire ban was put in effect. There are already a few forest fires in the Territory but nothing near our lodge, so everything is safe here. The weather was nice and calm for the first half of the week with the occasional thunder shower. Towards the end of the week we had a mix of sun and clouds and some windier days.
