2010— Week 28

We experienced another great fishing week with no less than 15 Pike Trophies being caught! It is our pleasure to welcome the following anglers to our Pike Trophy Club: Dorothy Irvine (106 cm), Michelle Irvine (114cm, 107 cm), Patrick Irvine (106 cm), Emil Isler (111 cm), Roman Roth (2 x 105 cm), Jerry Myers (105 cm), Michal Pszczola (114 cm, 108 cm, 106 cm), Patryk Debski (106 cm), Zenon Grabowski (109 cm), Angelo Menet (105 cm, 106 cm). Congratulations to all of you, great job! It was really nice to see that our youngest guests Patrick (9 years old), Michelle and Angelo (both 12 years old) together caught 5 Trophy Pike. Jerry fished only with flies and his persistence was rewarded with a nice Pike of 105 cm and another big one of 100 cm. The Lake Trout fishing was rather slow the first couple of days. There was a drop in pressure and as they are sensitive to weather changes they were not very active. From the second half of the week we had steadier conditions and we did great with nice fish up to 90 cm. While playing smaller fish we had some real monsters following them right to the boat – what a thrill! We did a successful fishing trip for Inconnu. Our guests hooked about 20 of these very rare fish but unfortunately could land only two. It is not easy to keep them on the line when they do their acrobatic jumps. Fishing for King Salmon was excellent. It looks like we will have a better run than last year. Our guests had great fishing for Rainbow Trout, they were very aggressive and took almost any big dry fly. Grayling fishing was excellent too with nice fish up to 45 cm. As mentioned earlier the weather was not really cooperating for the first half of the week, we had mainly windy conditions and colder temperatures. For the rest of the week we were blessed with sunnier days and hardly any wind at all.
