Our 2025 Season is well under way and has been going fantastically.

After a pretty chilly start to the season, we had about two weeks of hot wind free days. Fishing has been world class as per usual. It did take a bit of time for the fish to get active with the colder temps at first but we were still able to land fish all day long.

The water levels started off lower than we have ever seen and with the cool temperatures they stayed low until recently. Luckily, we have plans for when this happens and it did not affect the quality of our trips.

We did quite a few trips to our outpost cabins and were very successful while there. For example, Martin and Martin from Switzerland caught 5 trophy pike in Frederik Lake!

Unfortunately, because of a large forest fire north of our cabin on another lake , we had to stop trips there for about a week. It is looking like things are safe now and we will resume our trips this week. Forest fires are a big risk in the Yukon and with the hot temperatures came lightning storms that started fires all over the territory.

We had a pre-season fishing and golfing tournament which co-owner and guide Hardy Ruf and his team won by landing the first Trophy Lake Trout of the Season! Congratulations to Grant on his 100 cm Lake Trout.

We have the pleasure of announcing the first month of Trophies for this year. Martin and Martin caught 5 Pike Trophies! Measuring 108, 107, 105, 105, and 105. Martin W caught a 106cm Lake Trout Trophy. Mason caught two Lake Trout Trophies, 106 and 102. Steve a 104 Lake Trout. To finish the month Loic landed a 107 and 101 Trophy Lake Trout and Partick got a 101.

All in all, things are going smoothly and we are all looking forward to more memorable trips and happy faces.
